Dr. Harleen Quinzel was a psychiatric intern at Arkham Asylum. Mia Sara portrayed Dr. Harleen Quinzel in the short-lived series as a psychologist and behind-the-scenes crime boss plotting to take over the city of New Gotham. She has a crop top with a yellow star and a pair of shorts over the standard pant style Harley wears, featuring card suits as decorative accents. In the film, a newly broken up Harley begins to discover her own way in Gotham now that she is free from the Joker’s toxic relationship. In the brief scene this outfit appeared in, Harley is seen dancing in a nightclub run by the Joker and her, the two criminals who have become the King and Queen of Gotham.
Future State: Harley Quinn takes place during the Magistrate’s future takeover of Gotham. Harley’s back in a one-piece nearly identical to her original jester suit, but in black, grey, and yellow. Harley is also still in her jester cap. Francesca Root-Dodson played a character known as Ecco who worked for Jerome/Joker and featured similar qualities and designs as Harley Quinn, though she was killed off in the final season. It’s notable that she’s wearing the same choker necklace that she wore the night the Baroness seemingly killed Estella. It’s not only red like the color of her blood that the Baroness callously drew but also red like the stone in Estella’s mother’s necklace. Each tower of the project is having actually avant-garde structure fulled of hi-tech innovations like broadband elevator, fire combating device, smoke spotting device and so on. Cruella crashes another Baroness event, arriving by garbage truck, having created an elegant ballgown of fabric and recycled gossip and tabloid stories about herself.
Fans have already been having a field day with the many looks Harley Quinn shows off in her new film, Harley Quinn and the Birds of Prey. Tara Strong voiced “Deranged Squad Female” for a quick Harley cameo (played by Cassidy Alexa) on The CW’s Arrow, though her full appearance was canceled. Harley Quinn (voiced by Meghan Strange) appeared in a 50s-themed “flapper girl” motif in her only series appearance. Her gold sequined pants and leather motorcycle-style jacket convey Cruella’s vibe of a glam bad girl. She appeared as a member and eventual leader of Task Force X in films like 2018’s Suicide Squad: Hell To Pay and 2020’s Justice League Dark: Apokolips War, voiced by Tara Strong and Hynden Walch, respectively.
